Danny Go! star Daniel Coleman has shared a distressing update regarding his 14-year-old son Isaac’s battle with cancer.
“I haven’t given an update on Isaac’s cancer for a while, and it’s still hard for me to process and discuss,” Daniel, 40, wrote on Instagram on Thursday, April 23. “The main update is that his cancer has spread aggressively, and his energy levels have become very low. We are currently undergoing a short round of palliative radiation to slow the growth of a large mass under his right eye, but we’ve shifted our focus to comfort overall.”
Daniel also noted that his son now has a hospice team to help manage his pain, four months after being diagnosed with stage III mouth cancer.
“We are doing our best to make each day enjoyable and restful for him,” he continued. “[My wife] Mindy and I are heartbroken watching his health decline, aware of how frustrating and frightening this must be for him. But we’re trying to stay strong and cherish the time we have with our boy.”
In December 2025, Daniel announced to his followers that his oldest son had been diagnosed with mouth cancer. (The YouTube star and his wife also have a 10-year-old son named Levi.)
Daniel explained that he had anticipated this development, as it is almost certain with Fanconi anemia. Isaac was born with this rare genetic disorder in 2011.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, Fanconi anemia is a rare inherited condition that affects bone marrow, preventing it from producing blood cells and platelets. Individuals with this condition may develop cancerous tumors earlier than those without it.
“The cancer has appeared earlier than we had hoped, and it’s still shocking to hear about your child, even if you’ve been preparing for it for years,” Daniel shared before the holidays. “The cancer’s location requires extensive surgery and potential bone work, and we’re uncertain about the recovery process. We’re eager to proceed quickly, so surgery is likely in the next few weeks. For now, we are taking it step by step and addressing the cancer aggressively.”
While Daniel has been keeping his followers updated on Isaac’s health through social media, he also prioritizes celebrating positive moments.
Earlier this month, friends organized a surprise for Isaac, creating a memorable experience for the family. “You know you’ve made it in life when your closest friends show up in your backyard on a random Wednesday and surprise your Sith-loving son with a full Star Wars show (that they choreographed and secretly rehearsed multiple times 😭),” Daniel shared on Instagram. “It was a core memory for Isaac and our entire family! Love you all deeply 🩵.”
