The South Korean romantic comedy series, Dynamite Kiss, made its debut on SBS TV on November 12, 2025. Co-written by Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min and directed by Kim Jae-hyun, the show features Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin in the lead roles.
Dynamite Kiss follows the story of Ko Da-rim, a single woman who pretends to be a mother to make ends meet, and Kong Ji-hyeok, her composed and sharp team leader. Their lives take an unexpected turn when Da-rim impulsively kisses Ji-hyeok, only for him to later discover that she has joined his team.
Episode 1 of Dynamite Kiss begins with Da-rim, a 30-year-old woman struggling with long-term unemployment. She is excluded from her sister’s wedding and sent on a trip to Jeju Island instead. Meanwhile, Ji-hyeok travels to Jeju to secure a high-stakes business deal involving Da-rim’s ex-boyfriend.
In Jeju, Da-rim encounters her ex and pretends to have a boyfriend to save face. When she spots Ji-hyeok at the edge of a cliff, she mistakenly thinks he is trying to commit suicide and rushes to save him, leading to a series of misunderstandings and hospital bills.
As the story unfolds, Da-rim and Ji-hyeok pretend to be a couple to impress Da-rim’s ex at a party. However, their fake relationship takes a turn when Da-rim unexpectedly kisses Ji-hyeok, leading to a romantic moment between them.
In episode 2, Da-rim and Ji-hyeok’s relationship deepens as they go on a date. However, Da-rim’s mother suffers a heart attack back in Seoul, prompting Da-rim to leave Ji-hyeok abruptly. Ji-hyeok, realizing his feelings for Da-rim, searches for her in Jeju and eventually back in Seoul.
Meanwhile, Ji-hyeok confronts his father about his mistreatment of his mother and agrees to join the family business to protect her. Back in Seoul, Da-rim applies for a job at Ji-hyeok’s company using her neighbor and friend as a cover.
As Da-rim attends the interview at Ji-hyeok’s company, their eyes meet, hinting at a potential romantic development in the upcoming episodes of Dynamite Kiss.
Both released episodes of Dynamite Kiss are available for streaming on Netflix, with new episodes airing every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:00 pm KST. Episodes 3 and 4 are set to release on November 19 and 20, promising more drama and romance for viewers to enjoy.
