“Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 generated excitement among fans during New York Comic Con with the unveiling of its first trailer. Charlie Cox, who takes on the role of Daredevil, took to the stage alongside Krysten Ritter, who is set to reprise her role in the MCU as Jessica Jones. The new season is set to debut on Disney+ in March 2026.
The highlight of the trailer, which was exclusive to attendees, was the much-anticipated comeback of Ritter’s Jones. She previously headlined her own Marvel series on Netflix and joined forces with Daredevil in “The Defenders.” Additionally, Elden Henson, whose character Foggy Nelson faced a shocking fate in the “Born Again” series premiere, was also featured in the trailer and will return for Season 2. The trailer showcased Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin prominently, including a scene of him boxing in a ring.
Season 1 of “Daredevil: Born Again” premiered on Disney+ in early 2025, reintroducing numerous original cast members from Netflix’s acclaimed “Daredevil” series. Cox, who has previously portrayed Daredevil in films like “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and “Echo,” led the series, which marked Marvel’s first entry into M-rated television.
In “Daredevil: Born Again,” the blind lawyer Matt Murdock squared off against D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who had risen to become the mayor of New York City. Both Henson and Deborah Ann Woll reprised their roles as Matt’s loyal friends, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. However, the premiere of the “Born Again” series stunned audiences when the deadly assassin Bullseye (played by Wilson Bethel from Netflix’s “Daredevil”) took Foggy’s life, which plunged Matt into despair, leading him to abandon his Daredevil persona.
As anticipation builds for Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” it has been confirmed that Ritter will be returning as Jones. Notably, horror icon Matthew Lillard will be joining the cast for the upcoming season, which was also granted an early renewal for Season 3 this summer.
The cast of “Born Again” also features Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer. Additionally, Jon Bernthal, known for his role as the Punisher in Netflix’s “Daredevil” and his standalone series, made his MCU re-entry in “Born Again.” Bernthal is set to headline his own MCU special focusing on the notorious vigilante, as well as making an appearance in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” next summer.
