David Harbour was caught on camera engaging in some lighthearted mischief in Encinitas, California over the weekend. The actor playfully took a man’s hat and jokingly ran off with it.
The amusing incident reportedly took place on Saturday at a popular gastropub called Encinitas Ale House.
The video footage, which was exclusively viewed by our team, depicts David entering the establishment and later dashing outside with a white cap in hand. He can be seen glancing back, exclaiming, “C’mon, dude, f****** get me.”
A customer then follows him, expressing confusion by asking, “What the f*** did I do to you, dude?” Subsequently, a group of individuals, seemingly acquainted with the hatless man, exit the bar to investigate the situation.
Amidst the commotion, a female voice can be heard urging for peace, leading to the man eventually retrieving his hat and returning inside. Fortunately, the incident did not escalate into a physical altercation.
According to an eyewitness at the bar, David strolled past with a companion, prompting the hat’s owner to greet him. Allegedly, David’s friend mentioned meeting up with some women, but David suggested visiting the man’s residence instead.
Per the source, this unexpected proposal caused the man to re-enter the bar. Shortly thereafter, David reappeared, snatched the hat, and made a swift exit. Witnesses claim David playfully tossed the hat on the ground, engaged in a conversation about the Iraq War, showed emotions, and then knelt down to pray.
Efforts to obtain a statement from David’s representative are currently pending with no response as of yet.
However, an insider familiar with the situation informed TMZ that “David has been open about managing his bipolar disorder. It wouldn’t be surprising if this incident is related to the stress of continuous work and public scrutiny on his personal life, especially considering his bipolar condition.”
David has previously shared his experiences of being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in public.
These events transpired amidst recent controversy surrounding David Harbour, with reports suggesting his “Stranger Things” co-star Millie Bobby Brown filed a complaint of bullying and harassment against him during the filming of the show’s final season. However, executive producer Shawn Levy and Millie herself have vehemently denied these allegations.
In a statement to Deadline, Millie emphasized her strong bond with David, citing their on-screen relationship as father and daughter on “Stranger Things” as a testament to their close friendship built over years of collaboration.
