DCD Rights, a leading distributor based in the U.K., has recently acquired the new music title “Life in Six Strings With Kylie Olsson.” This eight-part series, set to debut at the upcoming TV market Mipcom, offers a unique and insightful look into the lives of some of the world’s most iconic guitarists. Produced by LISS Films, the show is hosted by TV personality and music journalist Kylie Olsson, who takes viewers on a journey into the homes and favorite hangouts of renowned guitarists such as Mick Mars from Motley Crue, Phil Collen from Def Leppard, and Nuno Bettencourt from Extreme.

Olsson, who has interviewed numerous bands over the years, found inspiration during the pandemic lockdown to start a YouTube channel and teach herself to play the guitar. She reached out to her connections in the music industry for guidance, leading to the creation of “Life in Six Strings.” Each episode of the series explores the artist’s extensive guitar collections and favorite hangouts, providing insight into the places where they found inspiration and honed their craft.

The show goes beyond just the music, focusing on the passion, dedication, and artistry of these legendary guitarists. Viewers will have the opportunity to see these living legends in a new light, learning about their love for music and the profound connection they have to the guitar. By showcasing the artists’ backgrounds and allowing them to share their stories in their own words, “Life in Six Strings” offers a deeper understanding of who they are as individuals.

In addition to the featured guitarists, the series includes appearances by Joe Bonamassa, Grace Potter, Steve Vai, Tyler Bryant, and Charlie Starr. DCD Rights has also announced several other sales of music content ahead of Mipcom, including the feelgood festive title “Christmas at Graceland” and documentaries like “Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision” and “Chicago & Friends Live at 55.”

The addition of “Life in Six Strings” to their catalog is sure to resonate with global audiences, offering a heartfelt and clever look at the world of music through the eyes of some of its most influential figures.
