DDG launched his second album of 2025 on Friday titled “moo,” kicking off the release with a heartfelt public message to his ex, Halle Bailey, urging them to settle their differences for the benefit of their 1-year-old son, Halo!!!
In the track “17 More Years,” DDG addresses the ongoing custody dispute with Halle, emphasizing the limited time they have before Halo reaches adulthood in the eyes of the law.
The couple ended their relationship in October last year, after which their situation intensified online when Halo appeared in a viral segment on Kai Cenat‘s livestream, ultimately leading to a temporary domestic violence order against DDG.
DDG praises Halle as a wonderful mother and emphasizes the urgency of resolving their conflict peacefully, as their legal fees continue to mount. He expresses, “I don’t want to fight anymore, fatigued from court dates / Attorneys profiting from our disputes, watching our money vanish.”
This year, both DDG and Halle have exchanged serious accusations of emotional and physical abuse, culminating in DDG’s appearances on his own dating show while Halle has been seen with a new partner.
DDG later affirms he is supportive of Halle being with “whoever” she may choose and encourages her to let go of the custody battle, so they can focus on celebrating Halo’s important life events without disagreement.
