Deion Sanders has announced that he requires surgery to address blood clots in his legs, but the head coach of Colorado football is hopeful to return to coaching by Wednesday afternoon.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Sanders shared that the surgery would last approximately “four hours,” though he did not reveal specific details about the procedure at UCHealth.
“This isn’t connected to my competitive level,” Sanders explained. “It’s hereditary, and it is what it is. There’s nothing I could have done to prevent this.”
“I put my trust in God wholeheartedly.”
Though the situation is serious, the 58-year-old is focusing on the positives — looking forward to a new experience!
“I can’t wait to try that Snoop Dogg,” Sanders exclaimed. “I call it that Snoop D-O-double-G. I’ve never been high in my life, nor have I ever smoked or drank. But when those surgeries come around, I’ll be ready!”
He concluded his comments by expressing gratitude for the support he’s received, assuring, “I’ll be just fine.”
