Delta Air Lines is set to elevate the dining experience for its customers with a range of new menu offerings. The airline recently announced a rollout of fresh menus in its Delta One, First Class, and Delta Premium Select cabins on both domestic and international flights. These new offerings include a mix of nutrient-dense and comforting foods to cater to a variety of tastes and preferences.

Passengers can look forward to chef-curated dishes like cocoa-braised short ribs with broccoli and carrots, butternut squash ravioli with pumpkin seeds and mild chilies, and apple-cranberry compote for morning flights. These additions complement Delta’s existing healthy menu options, which include roasted chicken breast, vegetarian chipotle bowls, mixed green salads, fresh fruit, and dark chocolate seed-and-oat bars.

Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta’s senior vice president of in-flight service, emphasizes the airline’s commitment to providing well-rounded and delicious meals that are specifically designed for the challenges of dining at 35,000 feet.

Additionally, Delta Airlines has partnered with popular fast-casual chain Shake Shack to offer cheeseburgers on select flights over 900 miles. While cheeseburgers may not be synonymous with health food, Shake Shack’s burgers are made with 100% all-natural Angus beef raised without hormones or antibiotics. Each burger provides 25 grams of protein and can be customized with nutrient-rich toppings like lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles.

Customers who choose the Shake Shack cheeseburger meal will also receive a Caesar side salad to balance out the meal’s less-healthy components like potato chips and a chocolate brownie. Stephanie Laster, Delta’s managing director of onboard service, highlights the iconic appeal of a cheeseburger as a comfort food and expresses excitement about the partnership with Shake Shack.

Michael Kark, Shake Shack’s president of global licensing, echoes this sentiment by expressing the company’s enthusiasm for bringing their beloved cheeseburger to new heights through the collaboration with Delta Air Lines.
