Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida has recently accused President Trump and advisor Stephen Miller of orchestrating mass deportations as part of a broader agenda to “bleach” America of its foreign populations.
In a Sunday appearance on MSNBC, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee discussed the implications of the newly passed “Big, Beautiful Bill,” which allocates billions for immigration enforcement. Her remarks hit hard against what she described as dangerous and misleading rhetoric.
“Once again, we see Trump’s fabrications leading to real human suffering,” Schultz stated. “Many individuals are facing dire circumstances that could lead to their deaths upon deportation to countries like Venezuela and Haiti, which have conditions that are far from safe.”
Schultz elaborated on the severe crises in these nations: “Haiti is plagued by gang violence and is essentially a failed state, while Venezuela operates under the oppressive regime of Maduro, who is under federal indictment in the U.S. How can it be justified to deport 500,000 Venezuelans after revoking their humanitarian protections?”
She accused the administration of pursuing a divisive agenda: “This is a clear attempt to ‘bleach’ America. Miller’s actions speak volumes about his character.”
Furthermore, Schultz raised concerns about environmental and infrastructural issues tied to current policies: “What’s happening in the Everglades—sensitive land that was once deemed unsuitable for major projects—violates sacred tribal lands without proper consultation with the Miccosukees. We are in hurricane season, and the infrastructure being rushed through could easily succumb to the elements, endangering lives.”

Earlier in May, Wasserman Schultz faced criticism during a CNN interview when she was pressed about the negative perceptions voters hold towards the Democratic Party.
