In Virginia, Democrats have achieved a clean sweep in every statewide contest, claiming victory in the governor’s mansion, the lieutenant governorship, and the attorney general’s office. As this article goes to press, they have successfully flipped seven seats in the House of Delegates, with no Democratic incumbents losing their positions.
In a rather ironic twist, Donald Trump attempted to sway the New Jersey gubernatorial race by leaking Mikie Sherrill’s military records. Instead of benefiting his Republican ally, Jack Ciattarelli, this move backfired spectacularly, resulting in Ciattarelli underperforming relative to Trump’s own results in the state during the 2024 election. Meanwhile, Sherrill appears poised for a significant victory, likely surpassing ten percentage points.
