Denise Rehrig, a seasoned news-and-talk producer with a recent senior role at “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” has been appointed as the executive producer of ABC News‘ flagship streaming program, “Prime With Linsey Davis.” This nightly show can be streamed on ABC News Live.

In her new role, Rehrig will oversee the editorial direction, story development, and day-to-day production of the show, reporting to Seni Tienabeso, the vice president of ABC News Live and Specialized Units.

President of ABC News, Almin Karamehmedovic, expressed his excitement about Rehrig joining the team, stating, “With a proven track record of editorial excellence and deep cross-platform experience, I’m thrilled to welcome Denise Rehrig back to ABC News in her new role. I trust her leadership will propel the show to new heights, delivering compelling journalism that meets the moment every night.”

Tienabeso also praised Rehrig, stating, “Denise is an incredible live TV producer and a wonderful storyteller who has a deep understanding of the new media landscape. Her sharp instincts and collaborative spirit will be a powerful asset to ‘Prime,’ and I’m so excited for her return to ABC News to lead the most honored team in streaming news.”

Rehrig kickstarted her career at CNBC producing financial and political programs like “Squawk on the Street” and “Fast Money.” She is a graduate of the Mizzou School of Journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
