Denise Richards is known for her candidness about her life, especially when it comes to cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Ben Talei, a facial plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, praised Richards on Instagram on Saturday, March 21. In a joint statement, he described her as “one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth.” The statement was shared on Richards’ Instagram account.
Dr. Talei expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work on Richards’ restoration, emphasizing the importance of maintaining her natural character and beauty. He noted, “Each of my procedures is unique, making it difficult to compare or describe in a single paragraph. Every millimeter of a photo shows comprehensive improvements.”
He further explained that many surgeons overlook details such as eyebrow hair organization or the forehead’s contour and shape, which subtly change as one ages, leading to a disarrayed eyebrow hair pattern.
Richards and her doctor shared striking before-and-after photos on Saturday, highlighting her transformation. The noticeable change prompted many positive comments.
Comments included, “Absolutely stunning result,” and, “Absolutely amazing,” with another remarking she looks just like her youthful self from Wild Things.

Dr. Talei elaborated on the facial enhancements he performed on Richards.
He explained, “The after photo reveals how organized the features look due to the three-dimensional changes I’ve implemented. The forehead’s contours appear more youthful from a side view. Her eyes were restored to their stunning, original beauty. Even the earlobes look improved from all angles. The tired look around her eyes and mouth has been neutralized and reversed.”
In an interview with Allure on Friday, March 20, Richards discussed the procedure.
“I wanted to restore things to their original position,” she shared, adding that despite having undergone breast augmentation at 19 and a later revision surgery, she was “terrified” of the facelift.
“Being in the public eye since my 20s, people know what I look like — a facelift is not something that I could hide.” Dr. Talei expressed his gratitude for Richards’ willingness to share her experience publicly.
“I’m incredibly thankful to Denise for her openness about the procedure,” he commented on Saturday. “She has faced numerous challenges this past year and her resilience is remarkable. Her golden heart and radiant face are truly hers once more.”
