The Houston Texans secured a crucial victory over the Buffalo Bills with a scoreline of 23-16, propelling them above .500 for the first time in the 2025 season. However, the conclusion of the game has sparked intense debate and discussion online.

In a tense moment with 24 seconds remaining on the clock and facing a 4th-and-6 at the Bills’ 22-yard line, Josh Allen threw an interception to Calen Bullock while Gabe Davis was flagged for offensive pass interference, further complicating the outcome of the game.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to social media to suggest that the sequence had been manipulated, claiming, “Vegas made the call (laughing emoji).”

Despite missing their starting quarterback CJ Stroud due to a concussion, the Texans were lifted by backup QB Davis Mills, who threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns to Christian Kirk and Jayden Higgins. Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn contributed with three field goals and two extra points, maintaining a perfect record.

On the other hand, Josh Allen struggled throughout the game, throwing two interceptions to Bullock and being sacked eight times, with Will Anderson Jr. accounting for 2.5 of those sacks. The Bills managed to score two touchdowns through a rushing touchdown by James Cook and a 97-yard kickoff return by Ray Davis.

Following the game, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and QB Davis Mills addressed the ongoing quarterback controversy. Ryans remained non-committal on whether Stroud would regain his starting position upon his return, stating that they would evaluate the situation. Mills, however, acknowledged that he sees himself as a backup to Stroud and is focused on making the most of his opportunities.

The Texans will face the Indianapolis Colts in their next game on November 30th, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. CT on CBS.

In conclusion, the Texans’ victory over the Bills has sparked discussions both on and off the field, highlighting the team’s resilience and potential quarterback dilemma. The upcoming games will be crucial in determining the direction of the team’s season.
