Acclaimed actor Diane Kruger recently made a significant contribution to the digital sensation “Bluey” by lending her voice to the first-ever German-language “Bluey Book Reads.” Known for her roles in “Troy” and “Inglourious Basterds,” Kruger narrated two beloved “Bluey” storybooks, “The Creek” and “Camping,” in her native language.

The German versions of “The Creek” and “Camping” were released on the German “Bluey” YouTube channel on May 27 and May 29, respectively. Both episodes are also available for streaming on Bluey.TV. Kruger expressed her excitement about the opportunity to narrate these stories, stating that reading “Bluey” books is a bedtime tradition in her household and that she gained “mom points” for her involvement.

The German recordings are part of Series 2 of “Bluey Book Reads,” which is expanding internationally with French narrations by Camille Cottin and Korean readings by Han Ga-in. This initiative is a collaboration between BBC Studios Digital Brands, BBC Studios Kids & Family, and Ludo Studio.

In other entertainment news, Banijay Productions Germany is set to launch a new reality competition titled “Villa of Temptations” on July 7. Hosted by Verona Pooth, the show follows 14 celebrities in a deceptive paradise setting where luxury comes at a cost. Contestants must navigate basic living conditions without beds, showers, or glamorous amenities, with every comfort or temptation deducted from a €250,000 prize pool. The twist lies in individual indulgences reducing winnings for the entire group, testing loyalty versus self-interest over a two-week period.

Katrin Stefanović, co-managing director of Banijay Productions Germany, believes that reality shows continue to captivate audiences in Germany, and “Villa of Temptations” provides the perfect platform to challenge the morality and motivations of well-known celebrities. Banijay Productions Germany, known for producing hits like “Kampf der Realitystars” and “Temptation Island,” aims to deliver an engaging and thought-provoking viewing experience with their latest venture.
