Diddy Prosecutors Say No Trial Strategy Documents Seized in Raid

The legal battle surrounding rapper Diddy’s jail cell continues to heat up, with prosecutors alleging that he was attempting to influence witnesses and rig his trial from behind bars. The feds recently raided Diddy’s cell, seizing attorney-client privileged material, which his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, claims was done unlawfully.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors argue that Diddy used unauthorized methods of communication to contact third parties, including 3-way calling on monitored phone lines, using other inmates’ phone access codes, and using a third-party text messaging provider. These actions, they claim, were a blatant attempt to manipulate the outcome of his trial.

The documents also reveal that Diddy had files on his bunk, including a manila folder marked “legal,” a notebook, an address book, and personal effects. While Agnifilo disputes that the legal folder was seized, prosecutors maintain that they only felt it from the outside to check for contraband, ultimately setting it aside without opening or photographing it.

As for the notebook and address book, prison officials reportedly took photos of the items and left them on Diddy’s bunk without seizing them. The U.S. Attorney’s Office insists that no physical materials were confiscated during the raid.

In response to these allegations, prosecutors have turned over photos of the items to a “filter team” to determine if any privileged information should be kept private. The legal battle between Diddy and the authorities shows no signs of slowing down, as both sides continue to present their arguments in court. The filter team carefully reviewed all photos for any privileged information before handing them over to prosecutors. The U.S. Attorney revealed that the photos included various notes related to Diddy’s business interests, music releases, and personal family matters.

Additionally, it was clarified that the raid was planned well in advance of Diddy’s arrest and was not specifically targeting him or any other inmate. The primary goal of the raid was to ensure the safety and security of both staff and inmates within the facility.

Diddy’s lawyer, Agnifilo, expressed concerns that the federal authorities may now have access to documents outlining their trial strategy. However, prosecutors have refuted these claims, indicating a disagreement on this matter.

In response to the situation, Diddy’s legal team has requested a hearing to delve deeper into the events surrounding the raid and its aftermath. This will allow them to gain a better understanding of the circumstances and address any potential issues that may have arisen during the process.
