The popular animated series “Digman!” on Comedy Central has made a last-minute change to its second season premiere date. Originally scheduled to debut on July 9, the show will now be airing on July 23 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. This shift aligns with the premiere date change for Season 27 of “South Park,” which will also be premiering on July 23.
While there has been no official statement from the creators of “Digman!” regarding the date change, the creators of “South Park,” Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have expressed their frustrations with the Paramount-Skydance merger. In a statement released online following the announcement of the premiere date change, Parker and Stone criticized the merger, stating that it is causing issues for “South Park” production. They reassured fans that they are working on new episodes and hope that audiences will still get to enjoy them.
“Digman!” is the brainchild of creators Andy Samberg and Neil Campbell. The show takes viewers into a world where archaeologists are treated like celebrities, following the adventures of renowned explorer Rip Digman, voiced by Samberg. The talented voice cast also includes Mitra Jouhari, Tim Robinson, Dale Soules, Guz Khan, Melissa Fumero, and Tim Meadows.
Season 2 of “Digman!” will feature an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Fred Armisen, Stephanie Beatriz, Beck Bennett, and many more. Campbell serves as the showrunner for “Digman!”, with both he and Samberg serving as executive producers. The series is produced by CBS Studios in collaboration with Ali Bell and The Lonely Island’s Party Over Here production company. Titmouse, an animation studio, also plays a key role in producing the show.
With its unique premise and star-studded cast, “Digman!” promises to deliver another exciting season filled with adventure and humor. Fans can mark their calendars for the new premiere date and get ready to join Rip Digman on his latest escapades.
