Off Campus actress Mika Abdalla experienced an off-screen romance with her fiancé, Jake Short, but the couple ended their engagement in 2026.
Abdalla, known for her role as Allie Hayes in the popular Off Campus series, first met Short in 2021. Their engagement was announced four years later by Jake Short’s manager, Brian Medavoy.
Medavoy shared a celebratory message on Instagram in 2025, expressing joy for the couple’s journey from set to real life. His post read: “An awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiance Mika Abdalla. From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever,” accompanied by a photo of the duo.
In June 2026, a representative for Abdalla confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly that she and Short had recently parted ways.

Jake Short Is an Actor
Jake Short has appeared in various television series, including A.N.T Farm, Mighty Med, and Lab Rats: Elite Force.
In a 2011 interview, Short recounted his entry into acting: “I got into acting four years ago. I started in Indiana where I’m from. I basically developed from there. I came out here, got a manager and agent and that’s basically my story in how I got involved in acting.”

He shared his excitement on Instagram, writing: “Could not be more thrilled to share that my first crack at directing a short will be screened in my home city at BHFF and close to my home town at CIFF! The odds that these screenings are one day apart seems impossible, but please please buy tickets if you are able to attend either festival on April 14th or 15th. I will be attending both festivals!!”

“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together,” a spokesperson for Abdalla told Us on June 1, 2026. “They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
