On a recent episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart humorously addressed the issues surrounding President Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 concert series, which faced significant setbacks after more than half of the scheduled acts withdrew.

Stewart opened his monologue with a desire for some good news, stating, “Man, I need good news. I need some relief. And I’ll tell you why,” referring to the troubles faced by the Freedom 250 concert he had been eagerly anticipating.

Stewart then shared a clip from NBC News, which revealed that five out of nine musical artists scheduled for Freedom 250 canceled their appearances due to “political concerns.” The artists who decided to exit the event included Martina McBride, Young MC, the Commodores, Morris Day, and Bret Michaels.

This wave of cancellations prompted Stewart to question, “Is anyone still performing?” The answer came in a lively TikTok video from rapper Vanilla Ice, who enthusiastically declared, “America is turning 250! I’m super honored to do this concert with everybody. We are gonna bring back the ‘90s.”

Stewart responded, “There you go! See? Everybody dropped out, but not Vanilla Ice. Vanilla Ice didn’t drop out. He saw a problem, and yo, he solved it.”

As the Freedom 250 series faced difficulties, Trump took to Truth Social to express his desire to “cancel it.” However, it was unclear if he meant the entire concert series or just the parts involving the artists who had withdrawn. Additionally, he criticized the “crooked judges” who had ruled against him in his attempts to gain control of the Kennedy Center.

Trump wrote on Saturday night, “Cancel it, just like I canceled my involvement with the failing and unsafe to be in Kennedy Center, because a Highly Conflicted, Crooked Federal Judge, said that I should not be allowed to spend my time and money in order to MAKE THE CENTER GREAT AGAIN, actually, far greater than it ever was before! It would have also been nice to see a Republican/Democrat union bring it back to life. The Kennedy Center is broken, unsafe, and $busted, and has been for many years! Judge Cooper also stated that the highly prestigious Board of the Center was not authorized to add on the name ‘TRUMP’ despite the fact that hundreds of millions of dollars of my time and money will be necessary for its successful reincarnation. So now, the Kennedy Center will collapse, both structurally and financially. Judge Cooper and his wife, Amy Jeffress (obfuscation anyone?), should be ashamed of themselves. Judge Cooper, like numerous other Crooked Judges on my cases, should be IMPEACHED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
