Dolly Parton, the iconic country singer, is opening up about her emotions following a touching tribute to her late husband, Carl Dean. In a recent Instagram Story post on March 21, Dolly shared how deeply moved she was by a performance of her hit song “I Will Always Love You” at the Opry 100 Special. The rendition, featuring Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Lady A, and the Opry’s choir, was dedicated to both Dolly and her beloved husband, Carl, who passed away on March 3 at the age of 82.

Expressing her gratitude and emotions, Dolly wrote, “I have not stopped crying over the beautiful tribute of ‘I Will Always Love You’ on the 100th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry show. All those beautiful people with all their beautiful voices singing my song as a tribute to my husband Carl… the emotion was beyond words. I have cried enough to wash a great deal of the pain away so thanks to all of you beautiful people that helped make that possible.”

Dolly continued by saying, “I also will always love you,” a heartfelt message reflecting her enduring love for her late husband. The country star had announced Carl’s passing through an Instagram statement on March 3, where she expressed the deep love and bond they shared over their 60 years together.

In a recent interview with Knox News, Dolly shared how she is coping with the loss of her husband. Despite the immense grief, she mentioned, “I’m doing better than I thought I would. I’ve been with him 60 years. So I’m going to have to relearn some of the things that we’ve done. But I’ll keep him always close.” Dolly also mentioned, “I’m at peace that he’s at peace, but that doesn’t keep me from missing him and loving him.”

Throughout their time together, Dolly and Carl maintained a strong and loving relationship, with Dolly often praising her husband in interviews. Reflecting on their partnership, Dolly shared, “We’re the perfect partners. We both have a great sense of humor. We’re able to solve any problem and any situation, making a joke about it and not letting it get too heavy, but we respect each other and we like each other.”

As Dolly continues to cherish the memories of her late husband, she released a new song dedicated to Carl Dean, further honoring their enduring love story. Despite the sadness of his passing, Dolly’s love for Carl remains unwavering, a testament to the deep bond they shared throughout their lives.
