Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired the rights to the medical reality series “Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out” and “The 6000lb Diaries” for its linear networks across Europe, the company announced.
This arrangement encompasses both Seasons 1 and 2 of “Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out,” showcasing the expertise of the renowned dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee as she addresses painful and life-altering skin issues for her patients. With an expanded clinic and a closer look at her life, the series combines medical expertise with heartfelt narratives.
The initial season is set to premiere in October, while Season 2, which has just received a renewal, is expected to air new episodes extending into 2027.
“The 6000lb Diaries,” which is slated to debut in January 2026, will follow ten individuals at a pivotal moment in their lives as they pursue transformative bariatric surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Now. Utilizing intimate diary cameras and candid confessionals, viewers will witness their emotional and physical transformations as they strive to reclaim their health.
“These titles, which feature talent recognized from previous TLC programs in the U.S., enhance WBD’s localized content strategy and provide captivating entertainment,” stated Andreas Lemos, director of international content at WBD.
The announcements were made during Mipcom.
These acquisitions fortify Warner Bros. Discovery’s unscripted programming portfolio in Europe, enriching its collection of factual entertainment and reality shows designed for a wide range of audiences.
