Yellowstone enthusiasts can expect plenty of twists and turns in the new Dutton Ranch spinoff featuring Rip and Beth. Natalie Alyn Lind shared insights with Us Weekly, highlighting the complex family dynamics that she appreciated in the original series. “Family relationships are the messiest because they have the power to hurt you the most,” Lind remarked.
Portraying Oreana, Lind offered a glimpse of what’s ahead. “The union of both families leads to intense drama,” she said. “It’s messy, but in the best, most engaging way. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Yellowstone first aired in 2018, drawing viewers into the world of the Dutton family. The series concluded in 2024, but its legacy continues with Luke Grimes’ CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which launched in May.
The storyline follows Beth and Rip as they strive to create a future far from Yellowstone’s shadow, encountering harsh new challenges and a relentless competing ranch willing to do anything to protect its domain. The show’s description notes, “In South Texas, blood ties are strong, forgiveness is rare, and survival may come at a steep price.”

Dutton Ranch features new characters portrayed by Annette Bening and Ed Harris. Other additions to the cast include Jai Courtney, Lind, Marc Menchaca, Juan Pablo Raba, and J. R. Villarreal.
Lind mentioned to Us, “My character’s journey is on a path I can’t detail, but she transforms significantly from the start to the end of the season. Events occur that permanently alter her life.”
Dutton Ranch broadens the horizons for Rip and Beth as they encounter a host of new individuals, including the influential Jackson family. The family matriarch, Beulah (Bening), heads the 10 Petal Ranch with her sons Joaquin (Raba), known as the family’s problem-solver, and Rob-Will (Courtney), whose reckless actions set off a series of events in the first episode.
Rob-Will’s daughter Oreana (Lind), destined to inherit the ranch, instead challenges family expectations and finds love with Carter. Lind told Us, “The Duttons have a rich history known to all. For the Jacksons, we aimed to establish them as a deeply rooted family, ensuring authenticity as audiences get to know them.”
Dutton Ranch is available to stream on Paramount+ every Friday.
