The upcoming Westchester County executive election is crucial for voters who are seeking lower taxes, reduced crime rates, and a repeal of the sanctuary law. Christine Sculti is once again running for office, promising to cut down on spending and establish an office dedicated to parental rights.

In New York City, having a strong Republican presence in the City Council is essential to combat the progressive agenda and to build a competitive party that can challenge the dominant Democrats. In a recent victory, Kristy Mormarato became the first GOP councilmember in The Bronx since 1939, representing District 13 and advocating for safer streets, quality education, and improved city services while opposing controversial projects like the Bally’s Casino siting plan.

In Brooklyn’s District 47, George Sarantopoulos has gained support from various police unions for his public safety platform. With Bay Ridge residents concerned about the potential impact of a Mamdani mayoralty, Sarantopoulos is seen as the best choice to address these issues.

Staten Island also has a trio of Republican candidates endorsed by The Post: John Shea for District 49, David Carr for District 50, and Frank Morano for District 51. These candidates are vocal opponents of overdevelopment and the establishment of lithium-ion battery storage sites in residential areas.

As early voting comes to a close on Sunday, it’s important for Westchester County residents to cast their votes. Polls will be open on Tuesday from 6 am to 9 pm for the final decision on the county executive race and other local elections. Make your voice heard and participate in shaping the future of your community.
