Jeffrey Epstein’s Controversial Links to Artist and A-List Star Revealed
Following the revelation that Jeffrey Epstein was a donor to the MIT Media Lab, two professors have decided to cut ties with the institution. Joi Ito, the director of the lab, also stepped down after issuing an apology for his association with Epstein.
In a statement, Ito expressed his deep regret, saying, “I am deeply sorry to the survivors, to the Media Lab, and to the MIT community for bringing such a person into our network.” It was disclosed that Epstein’s donation had to be kept confidential in order to avoid enhancing his reputation through his association with MIT. It was also made clear that he would not be considered a sponsor of any research or have any involvement in how the funds were utilized.
Artist Neri Oxman, who received funds from Epstein, also issued a statement expressing her regret. She stated, “I regret having received funds from Epstein, and deeply apologize to my students for their inadvertent involvement in this mess.”
Interestingly, the Epstein files also contain references to actor Brad Pitt. One of Epstein’s acquaintances described Pitt as “cute” in a note. Additionally, there was an invitation sent to Epstein for a 2013 screening of Pitt’s movie, World War Z. This occurred five years after Epstein’s conviction for crimes related to procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute. However, there is no indication that Pitt was aware of Epstein’s criminal activities or associated with him in any way.
The unfolding of Epstein’s bizarre love life obsession with Brad Pitt and his controversial ties to an artist romantically linked to an A-list star has shed light on the intricate web of connections surrounding the disgraced financier.
