Erika Kirk
Standing Firm on the 2nd Amendment
Published
Erika Kirk continues to uphold her support for the 2nd Amendment, despite the tragic loss of her husband, Charlie Kirk, in September.
During her appearance at The New York Times’ DealBook Conference, Erika reiterated her belief in the right to bear arms, asserting that America’s issue lies not in gun control but in societal values.
She emphasized, “I fear that we’re in an era where violence is seen as a solution to differing opinions. This isn’t a gun problem, it’s a fundamental human issue.”
Tragically, Charlie was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on September 10, while discussing gun violence in the country.
The alleged perpetrator, Tyler Robinson, has been indicted on charges of aggravated murder and is awaiting trial while in custody.
Erika has bravely assumed Charlie’s responsibilities within the organization, now serving as CEO and board chair, advocating for civil discourse and open dialogue even amidst differing opinions.
