Introducing EverNitro: The Future of Nitro Beverages
XBrew Lab unveiled its latest innovation, the EverNitro countertop nitro beverage machine, at CES this week. This groundbreaking device is set to revolutionize the way nitro coffee enthusiasts enjoy their favorite drink, offering a more accessible and sustainable solution compared to traditional cartridge-based machines.
If you’re not familiar with nitro coffee, it’s essentially cold brew coffee infused with nitrogen gas. This unique process creates tiny bubbles that result in a smooth and naturally sweet taste, reminiscent of a pint of Guinness. Many fans of nitro coffee also appreciate its less bitter flavor profile.
EverNitro is positioning itself as a cost-effective all-in-one solution, challenging competitors like NitroBrew. Founder and CEO Terry Tan emphasized the machine’s quality, stating, “We provide the quality of a commercial tap in the form factor of a coffee maker. While others require you to purchase gas cartridges, we offer technology that allows you to generate nitrogen for free.”
The company boasts that EverNitro delivers nitrogen with 95% purity and highlights its unique capability to extract nitrogen from the surrounding air. By eliminating the need for disposable cartridges, EverNitro offers a more affordable and environmentally friendly option for home use.
Having tested EverNitro ourselves, we were impressed by its user-friendly design and compact size, making it a perfect addition to any kitchen or bar setup. The machine accommodates various beverages, from coffee to cocktails, and allows users to adjust the pressure according to their preference, ranging from 0 to 8 BAR.
The entire process, from loading the beverage to savoring the finished drink, takes just minutes. Additionally, the machine comes with a companion app that provides real-time updates.
The EverNitro device made its debut on Kickstarter in October, raising over $570,000 and showcasing strong consumer interest despite its premium price point. The Lite version is priced at $470, offering the machine and a canister, while backers can secure it for $290. The Pro model, priced at $583 (or $337 for backers), includes the machine, two canisters, a coffee bean preservation jar, and whipped cream kits. For comparison, a similar countertop unit from NitroBrew costs around $1,000.

Looking to the future, Tan shared that the team is exploring ways to enhance the texture of all beverages using gases, not just coffee. Imagine a machine that not only dispenses drinks but also intelligently mixes cocktails or brews coffee, automatically selecting the ideal gas profile to enhance the body and mouthfeel of the beverage.
