Former Washington, D.C., police officer Timothy Valentin, 30, has been accused of sexually assaulting at least 10 women across Maryland and Virginia between 2024 and 2025. Valentin faces charges in Prince George’s County, Maryland, for alleged assaults on six adult women that occurred at various locations in the county during the specified time frame. Additionally, he is currently in custody in Alexandria, Virginia, facing four sexual assault charges related to incidents in 2025, including rape, sodomy, abduction, unlawful filming, and aggravated sexual battery.
Valentin served as an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington, D.C., from 2017 to 2022. He resigned from the department in 2022, and the alleged assaults took place after his departure. Investigators determined that Valentin met women either through dating apps or in person. During dates, the women reportedly consumed alcohol and became incapacitated, leading to the alleged sexual assaults.
In Montgomery County, Maryland, Valentin is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Takoma Park in April 2025 after meeting at Blue Sunday’s Bar & Grill in Bowie and later traveling to Society Restaurant & Lounge in Silver Spring. Maryland detectives began investigating the case after being contacted by the Alexandria Police Department in Virginia, which had identified potential cases in Prince George’s County during its own investigation.
Authorities in Maryland and Virginia suspect that there may be additional victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward. The case highlights the importance of thorough investigations and the need for victims to speak out against such heinous acts. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to hold perpetrators of sexual assault accountable for their actions and ensure justice for the victims involved.
