Renowned political strategist Rick Wilson condemned President Donald Trump and his administration for causing further distress to survivors of Jeffrey Epstein after the Justice Department released heavily redacted files.

Wilson, a co-founder of The Lincoln Project, expressed his outrage in his newsletter, Rick Wilson’s Against All Enemies. He stated, “That’s the betrayal. That’s the knife-twist for the victims. You survived the predators, the indifferent system, and now you’re witnessing it happen all over again, this time in plain sight, marketed, and dismissed as insignificant.”

Rick Wilson also called out Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for claiming that the removal of a since-restored photo featuring Trump had “nothing to do” with the president.

The Department of Justice failed to meet the legal deadline to release all documents related to Epstein on Friday and instead announced a staggered release over the next few weeks.

Reports of missing files and redacted pages on the DOJ’s website have surfaced in recent days.

Epstein survivors have criticized the DOJ for the incomplete release, while Senator Chuck Schumer has called for legal action against the Trump administration.

Wilson also took aim at Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, accusing him of trying to distance the president from the removal of a photo featuring Trump.

Wilson highlighted the unintended consequences of the DOJ’s redactions, suggesting that the attempt to conceal information only fueled public curiosity. He emphasized that the cover-up will not succeed in the digital age.

Wilson criticized the DOJ’s handling of the situation, describing it as a misguided attempt to suppress information that only exacerbated the crisis in the Trump administration.

He concluded, “The black marker isn’t just ink. It symbolizes power and a new form of mistreatment, inflicting more pain on women who have already suffered more than enough.”
