Kamala Harris believed her relationship with her boss, Joe Biden, was in good standing as he prepared for the 2024 presidential campaign, according to RadarOnline.com.

However, in her candid new memoir, 107 Days, she disclosed that she felt increasingly sidelined by both Biden and his administration.

In the opening chapters of her memoir, as she transitioned into Biden’s presidential campaign, Harris reflects on how the vibrant “Uncle Joe” she once knew grew distant, leading to feelings of sadness and disappointment.

“My feelings for him were grounded in warmth and loyalty, but over time they became complicated, intertwined with hurt and disappointment,” she writes.

Harris indicates that the version of Biden she knew during the early stages of their political endeavors had changed after he secured the presidency.

She states, “After warmly welcoming us into the Biden family at the start of the campaign, I sensed a shift following the election.”

Harris also brings up the contentious debates surrounding Biden’s intentions to potentially step down from the race, citing significant influence from Jill Biden in his decision to run again. She questioned, “‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ That’s what we all repeated, as if it were some sort of mantra. Was it true grace, or was it recklessness?”

She reflects critically, affirming, “In hindsight, it feels reckless. The stakes are too high for such a decision to rest solely on an individual’s ego or ambition; it demands a broader consideration.”

Biden’s aides were on high alert for the potential fallout from Harris’s memoir, anticipating retaliation in the form of counterclaims aimed at discrediting her.

Political analyst Leon Wagener remarked, “Harris has nurtured grievances, and the party’s leaders have cautioned her to stay silent or face severe consequences.”

“There’s an evident undercurrent of animosity and distrust between them, setting the stage for an inevitable clash if she shares her insights and Biden’s team reacts harshly,” he added.

Political commentator Mark Halperin emphasized that the Biden camp would likely strike back with damaging revelations if they felt threatened by Harris’s accusations: “If Joe feels cornered, expect to hear stories from his camp that could tarnish her image.”
