A Brooklyn woman, Pei Chung, has been causing a stir in the restaurant scene by posing as an influencer to get free meals at top-notch eateries in New York City. The 34-year-old, who showcases luxury brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Hermes on her Instagram, has been apprehended multiple times for dining and dashing at places like Peter Luger and Francie, according to law enforcement sources.
Chung pretends to be a food influencer, complete with a professional camera setup, and shares posts of extravagant dishes from Michelin-star restaurants like Colorado lamb from Francie and marbled meat from Peter Luger to her 13,000 followers.
One incident even involved her offering sexual favors instead of payment at Peter Luger, leaving restaurant staff baffled and outraged.
Chung’s escapades have led to her being arrested at least five times since October, with her most recent arrest at Motorino Pizza for refusing to pay a $135 bill.
Despite her criminal actions, Chung portrays a different narrative on her blog, praising the food she stole and offering glowing reviews of the stolen meals.
Her antics have not gone unnoticed by the establishments she targeted, with restaurant owners recounting her audacious behavior and attempts to barter for meals through social media exposure.
