Family keeps capturing stranger sneaking into their pool for a swim: ‘Bizarre’

An Australian family in Queensland is shocked and appalled after a stranger repeatedly snuck into their home in New Farm, northern Brisbane, to use their swimming pool without permission. The homeowner, Holly Stevens, expressed her disbelief at the audacity of the unknown man who had accessed their property at least five times since January.

Describing the man’s actions as “entitled,” Stevens revealed to 9News that the individual appeared to be scoping out the property while no one was home before taking a dip in the pool. CCTV footage captured him removing his shoes and socks at the front door before indulging in a swim, stretching his muscles, and doing a few laps.

Despite catching the intruder in the act five times since January 19, Stevens suspects that he may have sneaked in on multiple occasions prior to that. The family upgraded their CCTV system after the second incident to monitor his access more closely. Stevens found the entire situation bizarre, especially noting the stranger’s sweaty appearance, running shoes, and post-run pool stretching routine, which she found off-putting and unhygienic.

Authorities from Queensland police are currently investigating the alleged trespassing incidents that occurred between January 19 and April 25. They have urged anyone with additional CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, or information about the incidents to come forward and assist with the investigation.

The brazen actions of the unidentified man have left the family feeling violated and unsettled. They are now taking extra precautions to ensure the security of their property and prevent any further unauthorized access. The strange and unsettling nature of the incidents has generated concern among the local community, highlighting the importance of vigilance and security measures in safeguarding one’s home and privacy.
