The Chiefs vs. Broncos game on Sunday took a violent turn as several fans got into a brawl in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium. According to TMZ Sports, the altercation led to one fan being charged with assault.

The incident, which occurred during Kansas City’s 16-14 victory over Denver, started when a supporter of Patrick Surtain II began throwing punches at a neighboring fan. Security tried to intervene, but the Surtain fan ended up tumbling down several rows of seats in the scuffle.

A video captured by a bystander shows the chaotic scene as the Surtain supporter got back on his feet and denied throwing any punches. However, another Broncos fan then stepped in and threw two punches at a security guard.

The situation eventually calmed down as other spectators intervened to break up the fight. Court documents revealed that Joseph Mascarenas, a Colorado native, was charged with assault following the altercation. His arraignment is scheduled for December 27.

The violent incident serves as a reminder of the passion and intensity that can sometimes escalate during sporting events. Fans are urged to enjoy the game responsibly and avoid resorting to violence in any circumstances.
