HGTV’s popular home renovation show “Farmhouse Fixer” has been canceled, host Jonathan Knight announced on Thursday. In an Instagram post, Knight expressed his sadness over the network’s decision not to move forward with another season of the show. He thanked fans for their support over the past three seasons and shared his excitement for what the future holds for him and co-host Kristina Crestin.
The series, which focused on the restoration of New England farmhouses, first premiered in 2021 and later spawned a spinoff called “Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp” in 2024, featuring Knight’s brother Jordan Knight. Jonathan Knight also appeared on HGTV’s “Rock the Block” in the last two seasons.
The cancellation of “Farmhouse Fixer” comes on the heels of other HGTV shows like “Married to Real Estate,” “Bargain Block,” and “Izzy Does It” also not moving forward with additional seasons. Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson of “Married at Real Estate” shared their disappointment on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the four seasons they had on the network.
Similarly, “Izzy Does It” host Izzy Battres acknowledged the lack of plans for a second season and thanked fans for their support. “Bargain Block” hosts Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas also took to Instagram to address uncertainty about the future of their show, but expressed excitement for what lies ahead.
As HGTV continues to make programming decisions, fans are left wondering about the fate of their favorite shows. The network has yet to comment on the cancellations, but viewers can expect more updates in the future. Stay tuned for what’s next in the world of home renovation television.
