Fears For Dolly: Iconic Country Star Parton, 79, Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to 'Health Challenges' Months After 'Devastating' Death of Husband

Dolly Parton’s health issues have heightened concern following the loss of her beloved husband, Carl Dean, seven months ago at the age of 82.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, she announced the need to postpone her upcoming Las Vegas concerts, stating: “I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that I must unfortunately postpone my planned shows in Las Vegas.”

“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors advise that I require several procedures.”

With her signature humor, she quipped, “I jokingly told my doctors that it might be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Parton added, “In all seriousness, I won’t be able to rehearse and deliver the kind of performance that you deserve. You pay good money for my shows, and I want to be at my absolute best for you.”

Parton continued, “While I’ll still be able to work on my projects from here in Nashville, I just need some time to prepare for the show.”

“And don’t worry; I’m not planning on retiring anytime soon! God hasn’t asked me to stop yet.”

“However, I believe He’s telling me to take a step back right now to ensure I’m ready for future big adventures with all of you. Thank you so much for understanding and being patient with me.”

The newly rescheduled Las Vegas residency is now set to take place from September 17 to September 26, 2026.

Earlier this month, RadarOnline.com reported that Parton abruptly canceled an appearance at her Tennessee theme park due to a health issue.

The legendary Jolene singer shared her health troubles with fans in a video that was played at Dollywood and circulated on social media.

“Hello Dollywood! It’s me! I know I’m here, and you’re there and probably wondering why. I had a little problem involving a kidney stone.”

Parton went on to explain that her condition took a turn for the worse due to an infection. Her doctor recommended she not travel during this time, urging her to rest and recover.

“So, unfortunately, that means I can’t be at Dollywood today,” she stated, attempting to soothe disappointed fans by adding, “I’ll be there in spirit and am looking forward to making up this appearance soon!”

Ultimately, she reassured everyone she would be fine but couldn’t make her planned visit that day.
