Female Activist Arrested for Allegedly Replacing American Flag with Mexican Flag
Recently, a female activist made headlines for her profanity-laced outburst as park rangers apprehended her for allegedly tearing down an American flag and hoisting a Mexican one in its place at a California park. Crystal Aguilar, 24, was taken into custody for slashing a chain securing a flagpole at Hart Park in Bakersfield and displaying Mexico’s national flag, as reported by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Body cam footage captured Aguilar’s fiery reaction as park rangers approached her. She defiantly declared, “You’re not going to tell me what to do, this is Mexican land, motherf—ker!” Amidst the chaos, Aguilar resisted arrest and issued threats to the rangers and their families.
She vehemently warned, “Touch me, motherf—ker, and when your kids die… I’m Mexican. I’m Aztec, motherf—ker, and you’re going to pay.” Aguilar’s threats escalated as she demanded the rangers leave her alone and claimed her father would seek revenge on them.
Law enforcement officers were alerted to Aguilar’s actions following reports of a person tampering with the American flag. Upon arriving at the park, they found Aguilar tampering with the flags near her white sedan parked at the park’s entrance.
Aguilar, who is known for her activism in immigrant rights in Kern County, has been vocal about her personal experiences with deportation. She protested against ICE raids in her community, citing her Mexican parents’ deportation when she was a child.

Following her arrest, Aguilar was booked at Ledro jail and faces charges of threatening a peace officer, vandalism, resisting arrest, trespassing, and marijuana possession. She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to address the charges brought against her.
