Early Sunday morning, a man driving on a Florida interstate was met with gunfire as he captured footage of several motorcyclists driving recklessly, as reported by the police.

The Florida Highway Patrol stated, “A 34-year-old St. Petersburg man, driving a Honda CR-V westbound on Interstate 4, observed several motorcyclists who were operating erratically with another unidentified vehicle west of Interstate 275.”

The statement continued, “The driver began to film the motorcyclists with a cell phone when one of the motorcyclists, now traveling alongside the victim, fired multiple rounds from a handgun. Despite the Honda being hit by several rounds, the victim did not sustain any injuries.”

One of the bullets pierced the rear gate of the SUV and entered the left rear quarter panel.

Authorities described the suspected shooter as a white male with a medium build, wearing a jacket with an “Outlaws MC” logo, and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Images of the victim’s vehicle were obtained by Fox News Digital from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Outlaws MC has a prominent presence in the southwest Florida region, as noted by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

The organization was particularly active in the 1980s and 1990s.

The court has a dedicated page for Outlaws MC members who have been convicted of various crimes.

According to the page, “Between 1981 and 2003, five significant criminal trials involving the Outlaws Motorcycle Club were conducted in the Tampa Courthouse. All of the indictments alleged violations of the federal racketeering laws, and the trial evidence included testimony about prostitution, drugs, guns, extortion, and murder.”

During that period, Harry Bowman served as the international leader of the gang and was involved in killings, bombings, and intimidation.

In 1998, he was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list and was apprehended in Michigan in 1999.

He was convicted of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, and various crimes related to drugs, guns, extortion, assault, and arson, resulting in a life sentence.
