A shocking case has emerged in Florida, where a nurse named Alexis Von Yates has been charged with engaging in a sexual relationship with her 15-year-old stepson. The incident has left many stunned, with Yates now facing a criminal trial and having her nursing license revoked.
According to reports, Yates had been allegedly flirting with and trying to seduce the teenage boy for weeks before the sexual encounter took place. Last July, the 34-year-old woman from Ocala reportedly put her two children to bed and then spent time with her stepson on the living room couch. The victim, who was visiting his father and stepmother for summer vacation at the time, shared that they had been vaping THC, playing video games, and watching movies while his father, who works as a lineman, was away.
During their time together, Yates reportedly expressed her sexual desires to the boy, mentioning that she was “horny” as she had not had sex in two weeks due to being on her period. The situation escalated as they started cuddling, kissing, and eventually engaging in oral sex and intercourse without protection. The disturbing incident came to light when the boy’s father unexpectedly arrived home early and caught them in the act on the couch.
In a shocking turn of events, Yates allegedly tried to rationalize her actions by stating that the underage victim resembled his father when he was younger. She even went as far as contacting the boy after the incident, expressing her regret that they were caught and asking him to rate her sexual performance, to which he responded with a “seven out of ten.”
Yates now faces a felony charge of lewd or lascivious battery with a victim aged 12 to 16. Despite pleading not guilty, she is set to be deposed on June 20. The incident was reported to the police by a concerned family member after the boy’s father failed to take action. Yates was arrested in November, and her nursing license was revoked by the Florida Department of Health due to her alleged actions.
The agency emphasized the importance of nurses demonstrating good judgment and moral character, highlighting that Yates’ alleged engagement in sexual activity with a minor and her lack of discretion indicate a lack of the necessary qualities to be a registered nurse. This disturbing case serves as a reminder of the trust placed in healthcare professionals and the importance of upholding ethical standards in all aspects of their lives.
