The Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers are gearing up for a rematch in the Stanley Cup Finals after the Panthers emerged victorious in Game 7 last season. The highly anticipated Game 1 is scheduled to take place in Edmonton on June 4 at 8 p.m. ET.

In their head-to-head matchups this season, Florida had the upper hand with a 2-0 record against Edmonton. The Panthers showcased their offensive prowess by averaging 3 goals per game, while the Oilers boasted a strong home record of 25-13-3. On the road, Florida held a decent record of 20-19-2. The Oilers allowed an average of 2.86 goals per game, slightly better than the Panthers’ 2.71 goals per game. However, Edmonton excelled in offense with an average of 3.15 goals per game.

The Panthers secured their spot in the Cup Final by defeating the Carolina Hurricanes in five games. Led by Aleksander Barkov with 17 points, the Panthers displayed a balanced scoring attack with Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk contributing 16 points each, and Brad Marchand and Carter Verhaeghe adding 14 points apiece.

In goal, the Panthers will rely on Sergei Bobrovsky, who posted a 33-19-2 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .906 SV% during the regular season. Bobrovsky has a solid track record against Edmonton, with a 13-6 record, a 2.85 GAA, and a .900 SV%. In the playoffs, Bobrovsky has been stellar with a 12-5 record, a 2.11 GAA, and a .912 SV%.

On the other side, the Oilers are coming off a strong performance against Dallas in the playoffs, winning the series in five games. Led by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl with 26 and 25 points respectively, the Oilers have shown their offensive firepower. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evan Bouchard also contributed significantly with 18 and 17 points.

In goal for the Oilers, Stuart Skinner has been impressive since reclaiming the net, recording a 26-18-4 record with a 2.81 GAA and a .896 SV% in the regular season. Skinner will look to continue his strong playoff performance, where he has a 6-4 record, a 2.53 GAA, and a .904 SV%.

The odds for the upcoming game favor the Oilers as -130 favorites, with the Panthers as +110 underdogs. The over/under is set at 6.5 goals. With home ice advantage, Edmonton is expected to come out strong in Game 1. The key matchup to watch will be between Skinner and Bobrovsky in the net.

In conclusion, the Oilers are predicted to win Game 1 with a score of 4-2. Betting tips suggest taking Edmonton on the moneyline (-130) and betting on the game to stay under 6.5 goals (-125). The stage is set for an exciting series between the Panthers and the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Finals.
