Remembering Kyren Lacy

Football fans were shocked and saddened by the news of former Louisiana State University wide receiver Kyren Lacy’s untimely death on April 13. Lacy, who was only 24 years old, was a promising talent expected to be drafted into the NFL in 2025. Known for his impressive performance on the field, Lacy led LSU in touchdowns last year with nine and had declared for the 2025 NFL draft. He was ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver in the 2025 class.

The LSU Athletic Department and Lacy’s family confirmed his passing, which occurred in the Houston, Texas area. His death has left a void in the football community, with many mourning the loss of a talented athlete taken too soon.

Other Losses in 2025

Unfortunately, Lacy was not the only member of the football community to have passed away this year. As we reflect on the lives lost in 2025, we remember the contributions and impact these individuals had on the sport.

While the football world continues to mourn these losses, their legacies will live on through their achievements and memories on the field. May they rest in peace.
