Former “NYPD Blue” actress Kim Delaney found herself on the other side of the law over the weekend, experiencing firsthand what it’s like to be a suspect in a real-life drama, similar to the ones she portrayed on the famous crime series.
The incident unfolded around 10 AM on Saturday at Kim’s Los Angeles residence, where police responded to a domestic disturbance involving her and her partner, James Morgan, as per law enforcement sources.
Following a heated argument that turned physical between the couple, paramedics were called to assess any injuries sustained by Kim and John.
After being cleared medically, both individuals were taken into custody by the authorities.
Kim was charged with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury, while Morgan faced misdemeanor domestic violence charges.
The irony of the situation is not lost on Kim, known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on “NYPD Blue,” which earned her an Emmy Award in 1997 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
In addition to “NYPD Blue,” Kim has appeared in shows like “CSI Miami,” “Philly,” “Army Wives,” and the soap opera “All My Children.”
This recent incident is not the first time Kim has faced legal troubles. In 2002, she was arrested for driving under the influence in Malibu, and in 2024, she was sued by a motorcyclist for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident in Los Angeles.
Requests for comments from Kim’s representatives have not been returned at this time.
