As part of this collaboration, Fox Nation will broadcast RAF’s inaugural match, RAF01, scheduled to take place on August 30 at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Additionally, Fox Nation has secured the rights to broadcast the second event, details of which will be revealed at a later date. Hogan, one of the driving forces behind RAF, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Fox Nation, highlighting the network’s alignment with their vision for the brand.
Led by Hogan, Bischoff, Bronstein, and Izzy Martinez, RAF is set to revolutionize amateur-style wrestling by professionalizing the sport. The event will feature renowned commentators such as wrestler and Olympian Kurt Angle, former MMA champion Chael Sonnen, and MMA world champion Bubba Jenkins. RAF aims to provide a platform for emerging and established athletes to showcase their skills, with proceeds from ticket sales being donated to Cleveland State University to support academic and athletic programs.
Bronstein, the CEO of RAF, emphasized the importance of the partnership with Fox Nation in bringing freestyle wrestling to a wider audience and providing athletes with the platform they deserve. The first matches for RAF01 will feature exciting matchups, including Bo Nickal vs. Jacob Cardenas and Yianni Diakomihalis vs. Bajrang Punia, among others.
