Fox is launching a new competition series that challenges celebrities to find out who among them is the “dumbest.”
According to an exclusive preview by Us Weekly, Nation’s Dumbest will debut on July 15. The show features an all-star lineup including TV personality Hilaria Baldwin, actress Carmen Electra, actors Anthony Michael Hall and Jon Heder, musician Chase Hudson, and rapper Ice-T.
Also joining the lineup are singer-songwriter Elle King, former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart, TV personality and physician Dr. Drew Pinsky, Jackass star Steve-O, singer JoJo Siwa, and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
Comedian Jack Whitehall hosts the show, challenging the participants with questions on spelling, animal trivia, and more. The celebrities often struggle to get the right answers, realizing they might end up being titled the “nation’s dumbest.”
In a preview clip, Ice-T humorously remarks, “If I am the nation’s dumbest, I really will have to reevaluate my life.”

The show’s synopsis reveals, “Summer school is in session with the debut of Nation’s Dumbest, a unique celebrity competition series where winning is less desirable. Acclaimed comedian Jack Whitehall hosts, overseeing the contestants as they experience the ups and downs of school life— from quizzes and report cards to recess and parent-teacher conferences— all while trying to avoid finishing last.”
Nation’s Dumbest is introduced as “a format that has been successful across numerous international territories, challenging celebrities to revisit their school days through a mix of brain-teasers, high-energy physical challenges, and forgotten classroom lessons.”

The show description concludes: “In each episode, the ‘smartest’ celebrity advances, narrowing the competition until the final exam determines who earns the unwanted title of The Nation’s Dumbest.”
Nation’s Dumbest joins Fox’s roster of innovative celebrity competition shows, alongside Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. This latter series, which recently concluded its fourth season, began in 2023 and subjects participants to rigorous military-style training modeled after real Special Forces selection processes, testing their physical and mental endurance.
The premiere of Nation’s Dumbest is set for Wednesday, July 15, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
