Gavin Newsom took a jab at Kristi Noem by trolling her after she was fired by President Trump.
California Governor, Gavin Newsom, marked Noem’s dismissal with a social media post, creating a mock “In Memoriam” for her brief tenure as Trump’s DHS Secretary.

Newsom’s post included a slideshow of Noem’s photos set to Sarah McLachlan’s “I Will Remember You,” with captions like “IN MEMORIAM KRISTI NOEM 2025 – 2026” and “IT WAS THE WORST OF TIMES.”
The Democratic Governor captioned the post with, “Gone, but not forgotten.”
Following a tense hearing where she faced criticism from Senators on both sides, including Thom Tillis, Noem was fired by Trump and replaced by Markwayne Mullin.
