The tragic incident at a Georgia Target store that resulted in the death of father-of-three Matthew Traywick has shocked the community. The fatal shooting allegedly occurred after an argument over a parking space, leading to Traywick being gunned down in the store’s parking lot in Savannah. Despite being rushed to the nearby Memorial Health University Medical Center, Traywick succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a devastated family.

The suspect, Tyler Edward Linn, a 30-year-old US Army veteran stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder and aggravated assault. The incident, which Mayor Van Johnson described as a dispute over a parking space that escalated into a tragic loss of life, has left the community reeling.

In response to the heartbreaking loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to support Traywick’s widow, Micayla, and their three children. The fundraiser has already raised over $140,000 of its $160,000 goal, with donations pouring in to help the family cover immediate expenses and provide a safety net as they navigate life without Matt’s support.

Traywick, who worked at Vaden Automotive in Savannah, was described as a valued member of the Vaden family, with the dealership offering thoughts and prayers to his loved ones during this difficult time. The community has come together to support the Traywick family during this tragic ordeal, emphasizing the importance of coming together in times of need.

As the legal proceedings unfold and the community mourns the loss of a beloved father and husband, the focus remains on supporting those affected by this senseless act of violence. The memory of Matthew Traywick will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, as they seek justice and healing in the wake of this devastating tragedy.
