Tragic Case as Teen Girl Dies After Secret Breast Augmentation
Procedure Performed by Mother’s Boyfriend

A 14-year-old girl tragically passed away after undergoing a breast augmentation—executed by her mother’s boyfriend—leaving her father in a state of shock.
Paloma Nicole Arellano is confirmed as the victim of this botched procedure, which was conducted at a private clinic in Durango, Mexico, as reported by El Siglo.
Paloma’s father, Carlos Arellano, was initially informed by his ex-wife that their daughter was hospitalized in Durango and later succumbed to complications from COVID-19. The grim truth, however, was unveiled at her funeral.
Upon attending her funeral, family members raised concerns about the unusually enlarged appearance of Paloma’s chest. The Arizona Republic has reported. When Carlos confronted Paloma’s mother, also named Paloma, she feigned ignorance about the situation.
After persuading Paloma to allow him to say goodbye in private, Carlos discovered the truth: his daughter had indeed undergone recent breast augmentation, confirmed by the presence of scars.
As reported by El Siglo, the local Prosecutor’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances of the girl’s death. The suspected surgeon, Víctor Manuel, who is also in a relationship with Paloma Nicole’s mother, has been provisionally suspended by the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgeons.
The surgery reportedly led to severe complications, including cardiorespiratory arrest and significant brain swelling. A hospital death certificate labeled the cause of death as cerebral edema related to a respiratory illness.
The autopsy report is currently pending.
