The tech world is buzzing with the recent announcements of the Google Pixel 10a and the iPhone 17e, two mid-range smartphones that are set to compete in the sub-ÂŁ600 category for 2026. Tech Advisor has compared these two devices, highlighting their key features and differences.

The Google Pixel 10a, which bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor, the Pixel 9a, comes at a starting price of ÂŁ499. On the other hand, the iPhone 17e starts at ÂŁ599, offering 256GB of storage compared to the Pixel 10a’s 128GB. However, upgrading the Pixel 10a to match the storage capacity of the iPhone 17e levels the playing field in terms of pricing.

One of the standout features of the iPhone 17e is its Qi2 support, which was missing in the Google Pixel 10a. This means that Apple users can enjoy a range of magnetic charging accessories that seamlessly integrate with the device. In contrast, Google’s decision to exclude Qi2 support from the Pixel 10a may disappoint some users who were expecting this feature.

When it comes to camera versatility, the Pixel 10a takes the lead with its dual-lens setup, offering a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. In comparison, the iPhone 17e only features a single 48MP camera, limiting the user’s ability to experiment with different focal lengths.

In terms of performance, the iPhone 17e surpasses the Pixel 10a with its Apple A19 processor, delivering faster speeds and smoother operation. The Pixel 10a, on the other hand, retains the Tensor G4 processor from its predecessor, which may not match the performance levels of the iPhone 17e’s chipset.

In conclusion, both the Google Pixel 10a and the iPhone 17e offer a solid performance in the mid-range smartphone market. The choice between the two ultimately depends on individual preferences, with the Pixel 10a excelling in camera versatility and affordability, while the iPhone 17e stands out for its performance and Qi2 support. Whether you lean towards Android or iOS may also influence your decision in choosing between these two devices.
