Gracie Abrams, the talented singer-songwriter, has unfortunately had to cancel her upcoming show in New York City due to a vocal injury. The 24-year-old artist took to Instagram to share the news with her fans, expressing her devastation at having to disappoint them.

In her statement, Abrams mentioned that her doctor had advised her against performing that night at Radio City Music Hall for her “The Secret of Us” Tour. She acknowledged the dedication of her fans who had lined up early, taken time off work and school, and traveled long distances to see her show. Despite the disappointment, she assured her fans that she would announce a rescheduled date soon, and all tickets would be valid for the new show.

Abrams had performed at the same venue the night before without any issues. Her next concert is scheduled for Philadelphia on October 8, and she has not canceled any further dates on her tour. The singer did not provide specific details about the extent of her vocal injury but expressed deep regret at not being able to perform for her fans.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams discussed the challenges of touring and the importance of vocal rest days. She emphasized the need to give her voice a break during busy tour schedules to avoid straining it and feeling exhausted. Abrams shared that she sometimes goes for days without speaking to rest her vocal cords and relax her mind.

Despite her initial reluctance to perform on stage, Abrams has found success with her music career, especially after the release of her latest album, “The Secret of Us,” in June. In an interview with The Sunday Times, she admitted that she never intended to be a performer but has embraced the opportunities that have come her way. Adjusting to the spotlight, she continues to captivate audiences with her heartfelt music and soulful performances.
