Grok AI Chatbot
Under Fire for Generating Images of Minors in Inappropriate Scenarios
Published
Grok, the chatbot created by Elon Musk’s xAI company, has come under scrutiny for allowing users to generate images of minors in inappropriate clothing and situations. The company has acknowledged the issue and pledged to address it promptly.
Reports surfaced this week that some users of the platform requested Grok to produce images of children in sexual scenarios, which the chatbot complied with.
Upon being questioned about these disturbing requests, Grok responded that while there are safeguards in place, improvements are being made to prevent such inappropriate content from being generated.
Furthermore, Grok has shared information about the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline, encouraging users to report any concerning content.
When approached for comment by CBS News, xAI responded with “Legacy Media Lies” in response to the allegations.
While Elon Musk initially found humor in Grok’s capabilities, such as generating a bikini-clad image of himself, the recent revelations have sparked serious concerns and backlash online.
