After two decades of delays and allegations of mistreatment of migrant workers, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi has finally set its opening date for December 11. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, another significant museum is facing labor issues. Workers at the Victoria and Albert Museum’s East Storehouse have unanimously decided to strike, citing insufficient time for basic needs like using the restroom or having a drink of water, drawing parallels to conditions in Amazon warehouses.

How a Former Military Settlement in Taipei Became an Artist Residency

Nestled in a small forested area along the Xindian River in Taipei City is the Treasure Hill Artist Village. Originally established by retreating soldiers in the 1940s, this former anti-aircraft base turned squatter settlement has undergone several transformations.
