An Ohio man is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting and killing his ex-wife’s new boyfriend at a karaoke bar. The victim, 42-year-old Benjamin Hawk, was singing a Linkin Park song at Louie’s Corner House in Buckeye Lake, Ohio when the incident occurred.

Richard Lindgren, 59, reportedly shot Hawk without any prior altercation, shocking witnesses at the bar. According to DJ Robert Humble, who was working at the bar that night, Lindgren had a history of harassing his ex-wife whenever she sang at local bars. He would often insult her and create a scene, leading to tensions between the two.

Hawk, who was well-loved in the local karaoke community, used singing as a way to express his emotions. His brother, David Hawk, described him as someone who enjoyed sharing his feelings through music.

Following the shooting, a murder warrant was issued for Lindgren’s arrest. He was apprehended in South Carolina and authorities are working on extraditing him back to Ohio to face charges.

The tragic incident has shaken the Buckeye Lake community and left friends and family mourning the loss of Benjamin Hawk. The senseless act of violence has highlighted the need for stricter gun control measures and better support for victims of domestic abuse. As the case unfolds, the local community is coming together to support each other during this difficult time.
