Other notable awardees included William Stedman, who was named Anstice Optometrists para-athlete of the year following his silver medal win in the men’s 400m T36 in Paris. The Canterbury Rams claimed the title of Blackwells High-Performance team of the year, and hockey international Charlie Morrison was awarded the Lincoln University Outstanding Youth in Sport Award for his outstanding leadership.

Vui Suli Tuitaupe of Moana Vā – Navigators of Pacific Pride received the Connetics Community Diversity and Inclusion Impact prize for his dedication to uplifting and empowering Pacific Rainbow communities. The event was attended by Julyan Falloon, Sport Canterbury’s Chief Executive, who praised the excellence and values that define Canterbury sport and recreation.
